Artist Bio

Tereza Posoldová is a contemporary painter from Krnov, Czech Republic, who discovered her artistic path in an unconventional way. After being rejected from art school, she returned to painting later as a self-taught artist-free from dogma and preconceptions, with a blank slate. What might have been a setback became her greatest advantage: she learned to experiment, find her own visual language, and trust her instincts. Gradually, she acquired academic painting and drawing techniques, but the core of her work remains unchanged - authenticity over perfection, truthfulness over photorealism.

She currently focuses on the series Love Letters from Nature, a collection of mixed-media and oil paintings where animals appear as messengers of inner strength, hope, and connection with nature. Each piece functions as a visual letter - not from the artist, but from the animal itself to the viewer. Tereza incorporates handwritten texts and unique stamps created for each animal according to its natural habitat, like postage stamps from the places where these messages originate.
“This series was born at a time when I needed to hear that I could do it myself,” she explains. “Today, I send these letters onward.” Her intention is not only to visually captivate, but to gently influence the viewer’s inner world, reminding them of courage, calm, and their own power.

Tereza works in her studio in Krnov, where she creates both fine art and complex illustration and graphic design projects. In 2025, she began collaborating with Gallery in Reykjavík, Iceland, where her work is represented in the permanent collection.


Her dream is to establish an organization that helps animals live with dignity. She believes art can change the way we perceive the world - not forcefully, but profoundly. She paints to awaken humanity: that pure, essential part within all of us, which we sometimes forget to listen to.
